Michael Pohl completed vocational training as an IT specialist (IT Kaufmann) and studied management & business administration at the University of Bradford (UK). After many years in leadership roles, he became a certified systemic coach and trained in gestalt therapy.

Professional career
After completing his vocational training, Michael Pohl took up a position in sales at Siemens AG and, a few years later, founded his first company, New Business Solutions GmbH. In 2004, avodaq AG took over the company’s operations, appointing Pohl to the position of international sales manager and tasking him with developing the company’s professional training activities around the world. A range of other management positions were to follow, including roles at Global Knowledge (EMEA) and censhare AG, where Pohl worked at the interface of business development, operations and sales and was responsible for employees and international channel partners. As of 2010, Michael Pohl has worked exclusively as a trainer and facilitator for international companies. In this role, he develops seminar concepts for sales, leadership and organization development, as well as entire personnel/organizational development programs comprising various integrated learning formats. To date, Michael has held training sessions in around 30 countries across Europe, the USA, China and the Middle East.

Today Michael works mainly with sales and management staff, training them both individually and in teams. He specializes in culture change, new leadership models, strengthening self-organization, realigning sales teams and, increasingly, accompanying companies’ digital transformation activities. He takes an integral approach to his work and regards training as an element of OD. He works in German and English.
