Qualifications Prof. Dr. Meyer-Hoeven studied Economics and Business Administration in Hamburg, St. Gallen and Vienna, receiving his Ph.D. (Dr. rer. Pol.) from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He later completed a post graduate course in shareholder-value-management and crisis management, and gained his license as a scan Coach.
Professional career Following his studies, Meyer-Hoeven joined Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH, where he was in charge of Corporate Communication and the company secretariat. After four years working for one of Europe’s largest family-run companies, he changed industries and joined the pharmaceuticals company GEHE AG (now Celesio AG), where he advanced from regional manager to managing director of purchasing, marketing, and sales. He left GEHE to pursue a career in consulting for trade and industry, and during this period was especially active in the field of strategic alliances. He joined PAWLIK Consultants GmbH as a partner in 2002, becoming Member of the Board in 2004.
Expertise Prof. Dr. Meyer-Hoeven heads up PAWLIK’s product development unit as well as its strategy and organizational development activities. He also works in corporate strategy development projects, primarily for medium-sized enterprises. In 2014, Prof. Dr. Meyer-Hoeven was given a professorship at the HSBA’s Department of Strategy and Leadership.
