Philipp Mehrtens gained his first degree in sports management in Düsseldorf before going on to study business at the Akademie der Wirtschaft in Bremen, from which he gained the titles of Bürokaufmann and Diplom-Betriebswirt (equivalent to a Master’s degree in Business Administration).

Professional career
Philipp Mehrtens began his professional career working in sales at the HCI Group, a publicly-listed, Hamburg-based financial services company. Starting off in project management, he quickly rose up through the ranks, assuming the roles of Sales Director and Key Account Manager before ultimately being appointed Managing Director. His many responsibilities at HCI included leading teams, managing clients, developing the company’s national sales network, and overseeing restructuring measures. In 2013, he joined PAWLIK Consultants.

At PAWLIK he works as a trainer, coach and consultant, specializing in the structural development and steering of sales organizations and in the training off sales staff. He discovered his affinity for promoting people’s professional development during his time as a team leader, and continues to make effective use of this aptitude at PAWLIK Consultants where he focuses on training sales staff in areas such as client acquisition, cold calling, and business expansion.
